Finalist at the Arte Laguna Prize 2024!
An international jury selected the diptych Eve & Adam for the 19th edition of the prestigious Arte Laguna Prize in Venice. Out of 10,000 submissions by 2,000 artists worldwide, Marianne has been chosen as one of the 24 finalists in the Painting category. Her works will be exhibited from November 16 to December 8 in the stunning halls of the Arsenale Nord. Eve and Adam were selected by the jury because of their originality, artistic quality, and relevant message.

The diptych #2.6.2023 EVE & #2.7.2023 ADAM embodies the female primal force, Mother Nature (Eve) 's wisdom, male strength, and energy of creation (Adam). The works aim to demonstrate that the energy of both feminine and masculine origin, wisdom, strength, and diversity, are equally important and necessary for a balanced world.
By incorporating feathers and leaves, Marianne’s works honour Indigenous cultures and their deep knowledge of and connection to nature. Through these pieces, she highlights humanity’s shared responsibility to create healthy ecosystems, mirroring the harmonious collaboration found in natural patterns.

Marianne hopes her art will inspire awe and deepen awareness of the profound interconnection between humans and nature. 'Nature influences our daily lives more than we realize. We feel the wind in our hair, the rain on our skin, and the sun on our faces. In my work, I mimic the natural forces that shape the world, allowing my creative process to be a journey of discovery.'
